CT-Based Methods. In contrast to MRI, CTP visualizes brain infarction indirectly based on perfusion changes. This study investigates the scope and limitations of perfusion. MRI in the clinical evaluation of such patients. Methods—Thirteen patients with bilateral MMS were DSC MR perfusion, also known as bolus-tracking MRI or perfusion-weighted imaging, is a technique in which the first pass of a bolus of gadolinium-based contrast Perfusion MRI is based on the analysis of the contrast enhancement of MRI images after a peripheral injection of a contrast agent, e.g. Gd-DTPA.
MR Perfusion Imaging. DSC MRI was performed with a spin-echo EPI sequence. The imaging parameters were TE=100 ms, TR=1500 ms. Six slices were acquired, with 1 of the slices including the middle cerebral artery to enable estimation of the arterial input function (AIF).

MR perfusion is a specialized MR technique that evaluates the relative perfusion tissue. Most of the time this is done in association with contrast enhancement but future techniques are promising for the possibility of being able to do it without contrast enhancement. 1Department of Oncologic Imaging, National Cancer Centre, Singapore 2Department of Radiology, Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, Sutton, UK AbstRAct This article introduces the basic principles of magnetic resonance (MR) perfusion imaging of liver and summarized the currently available literature. DCE-MR imaging is used for diagnosis of cancer (see also liver imaging, abdominal imaging, breast MRI, dynamic scanning) as well as for diagnosis of cardiac infarction (see perfusion imaging, cardiac MRI). Quantitative DCE-MRI requires special data acquisition techniques and analysis software.

Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging perfusion (cardiac MRI perfusion, CMRI perfusion), also known as stress CMR perfusion, is a clinical magnetic resonance imaging test performed on patients with known or suspected coronary artery disease to determine if there are perfusion defects in the myocardium of the left ventricle that are caused by narrowing of one or more of the coronary arteries
